This Cookie Policy explains which cookies Vectares sets and what your browser keeps locally when you use the Service. Vectares uses only strictly necessary cookies, which is why you are not asked for consent through a cookie banner.
1. Cookies we set
vectares_session — keeps you signed in to the office app after you log in. Strictly necessary. Duration: 30 days, or until you sign out. Set only by our own domain; HttpOnly (page scripts cannot read it), Secure, SameSite=Lax.
vectares_portal — keeps a customer signed in to the customer portal. Strictly necessary. Duration: 7 days, or until signing out. Same protections as above.
Our public pages (home page, sign-in page, legal pages) set no cookies at all: the first cookie appears only when you sign in.
2. What we do not use
No analytics, statistics, advertising, social-media or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts that set them. We do not build visitor profiles and we do not share browsing data with advertisers.
3. Local storage in your browser
Preferences, in local storage: language, light or dark theme, collapsed sidebar, table columns, map zoom and base map, and the company selected when you belong to several.
Work in progress, so a closed or reloaded tab does not lose it: unsent drafts of forms, including the documents attached to a new order (in your browser’s IndexedDB), and the orders whose document reading is still running. Only for the last one does the app contact our server by itself after a reload — to finish that reading and add its results to the order. The data sent is the identifiers of the order and of the document already uploaded.
For the current tab only (session storage, deleted when the tab closes): an identifier of the tab, so two open tabs do not step on each other, and the details of a freight offer you chose to turn into a new order.
Nothing here is used to track you, and none of it is shared with anyone else. Everything is strictly necessary for features you use. You can delete all of it at any time from your browser settings (site data for vectares.com).
4. Maps and weather layers
Some maps load images from OpenStreetMap tile servers, satellite imagery from Esri and weather radar from RainViewer. Like any web request, these servers receive your IP address and the map area requested. They set no cookies through our site (checked on 2026-10-03). Voice calls in the app go through LiveKit, listed with our other sub-processors at vectares.com/legal/subprocessors.
5. The mobile app
The mobile app signs in with a token kept in the phone’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). At sign-in our server also sends the vectares_session cookie described above, which the phone’s network layer may keep for the same 30 days. It is used only to keep you signed in; the app has no analytics or tracking cookies.
6. Legal basis and changes
Strictly necessary cookies and local storage are exempt from consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws that implement it, including Romanian Law 506/2004. If we ever want to use a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will first ask for your consent through a banner and update this page. Questions: office@digiohs.com.
